Øverodvej

Located in Copenhagen, Denmark, the proposal converted an existing 1 & 1/2 storey bungalow into a new 4 bedroom family home on a constrained urban plot.

By re-configuring the existing bungalow existing ground floor the project focused on optimising the existing footprint to create an open plan living/ kitchen space and a private snug room.

Through careful analysis of the location for the stair, a spatious upper floor layout was created. Maximising daylight was crucial for the client and therefore a large atrium space was created at the entrance of the house.

Local materials were proposed including white render and natural slate roof.

Dual aspect views and a light well ensure daylight is maximised in key living spaces.

"Define architect's design and vision encaptulates the local vernacular of the town of Øverodvej to create a unique family home."
