Anna joined Define in 2022 with 7+ years’ experience designing and delivering high quality contemporary architecture to both private clients and developers throughout the North West. She has worked on projects which range in scale from one-off houses to £200m mixed use masterplans. Although having worked across a variety of sectors, Anna’s experience prior to joining Define focussed on high end residential schemes throughout Cheshire.
Anna enjoys capturing key details and architectural moments in her designs, which have included many sensitive refurbishments and extensions to period and listed buildings in addition to new-build schemes. She appreciates interiors as an integral part of the spatial design and has experience producing full interior design packages including bespoke furniture designs.
Working in various architectural practices before joining Define, she has significant experience leading projects on-site, co-ordinating designs with the design and construction team.
Outside of practice, Anna volunteers for UrbanistasNW - a female-led network of built environment professionals based in the North West, committed to shaping cities and spaces that are more equitable, inclusive and diverse places to live, work and play. As a core team, they advocate for greater inclusivity within the profession and strive to amplify underrepresented voices in shaping our shared environments. In 2024, they worked together to produce a toolkit for employees and employers, providing guidance for employees managing caring responsibilities alongside working. The toolkit is set to be published by the RIBA later this year.
